Metaverse thought leaders gather in San Francisco

Tomorrow marks the in-person part to this year’s VentureBeat Metaverse event, MetaBeat SF, at SVN West in San Francisco. This follows the pre-event virtual content and networking part of the event, held last week at the VB Event Center on the virtual platform Decentraland.

For last Thursday’s virtual pre-event VentureBeat partnered with Canadian “vertically integrated Metaverse technology company”, TerraZero Technologies, to build a virtual event space in Decentraland. This virtual event space featured a two-level theatre with a screen for attendees to view panels and a Jumbotron for attendees to connect with each other. The space also featured exclusive content, Metaverse demos, networking opportunities, a scavenger hunt, sponsor gallery, and a virtual mixologist class!

Billed as “the most comprehensive metaverse event on the market”, this year’s MetaBeat event includes: “over 30 educational sessions covering tech, strategy and marketing”, “the latest metaverse technology”, “from the latest hologram technology, to metaverse space builders, and climbing Everest in VR”; and the opportunity for attendees to network with like-minded peers across from across the industry. Tomorrow’s in-person event includes a main stage hosting Metaverse thought leaders, breakout tracks covering Metaverse technology, executive strategy, brands and marketing, a demo zone where you can try out the latest technology, and a whole host of roundatables.

The event invites a wide range of speakers to the event, and this year’s guests include: Chair of the Metaverse Standards Forum and Khronos Group President Neil Trevett; Roblox Chief Technology Officer, Dan Sturman, Creator and Co-Host of the Into The Metaverse podcast show and newsletter Yonatan Raz-Fridman; Vice President, Omniverse Platform Development IGM of M&E Richard G. Kerris and Vice President of Omniverse and Simulation Technology Rev Lebaredian from NVIDIA; Procter & Gamble’s Chief Metaverse Officer Ioana Matei; TerraZero Technologies, Inc. Chief Metaverse Officer Ryan Kieffer; and Journey Chief Metaverse Officer & Co-founder Cathy Hackl.

We're looking forward to hearing what these Metaverse though leaders have to say and will report back in due course. Please leave a comment below!
